Re-Dedicating the Grave of Gen. Richard Dodge

The Johnstown Historical Society held a General Dodge Day event on September 21st, 2013 in Johnstown, NY.
Dedication of new tombstones for for Brigadier-General Richard Dodge who served in both the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.

He was ordered to assemble the local militia and proceed to Sacket’s Harbor in 1812.
Richard Dodge and his wife Ann Sarah Irving Dodge with a benediction by Rev.Laurie Garramone of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Our Society presented wreaths and met and honored General Dodge in accompanying cannon and musket salute by local reenactors.

We held our Annual Meeting in Johnstown on the invitation there of the Johnstown Historical Society.
